Rainy days are the best.. I mean what there is not to love about the rain? It has been brutally hot for the past couple of months here… But today it is 62 degrees! Sixty-two! I even put a sweater on.. ahh big cozy sweater… I have forgotten how it feels to be cold.. and then being warm! The best feeling ever. Hah, my cat is being funny as always.. Today he has me to look out of a window with.. It’s funny how he moves his head up and down as the rain drops… I wonder what he thinks.. I’m sure it is something like “oh I wonder how I can bite Olesja’s leg again without her getting a hold of me” or “oh look, a bird, yummy yummy bird.. now how can I move this screen to catch it…” I’m telling you the struggles of a house cat…
So with all this rain I’m going to tell you my favorite things to do on a rainy day…
1. Drink hot tea- my favorite at the moment is Earl Grey without any sugar or milk.. I love the taste and smell of bergamot.. awakens my senses a little..
2. Read a book- again right now I’m reading a book called Tender Is the Night by Fitzgerald.. so far I think it’s really easy to read but kind of hard to get into the story itself.. I love Fitzgerald’s writing though so I have high hopes for it.
3. If reading fails, I like to watch a Russian movie. Russian movies are so awesome (speaking from girl’s perspective)… They are like mini fairy-tales that have a good ending…
4. Youtube bloggers… or random new music… My favorite youtube bloggers are Classisinternal, Elena864, and Evelina…
5. Naps. I could sleep any time if it’s cold outside. Cuddle up with a blanket… and catch some Zzzzzz
6. But not always I will stay in… It is also a perfect weather to get a cup of coffee and sketch… observe people.. get lost in thoughts. Or go for a little mall walk.. window shop or sometimes I like to give myself limits… like today I’m shopping for a cute ring.. or a unique shirt, etc…
7. Put some rain proof clothing on and have a little walk in the park or the city…
