Today has been the best day since the new 8 weeks of classes started! I am loving my schedule and classes, especially Interior Design Professional Practices class! The first day our instructor brought tons of design magazines and we had to make visual boards that show our style as a designer. Super fun!
Today, I woke up early and called Latvian Embassy in D.C. to see what exact documents I needed to change my last name for my passport. Haha, I have to put my new last name in Latvian version so they are basically adding an “A” to the end of it– Allena… weird. However, on the other side it will be written the normal way. Whew!
After getting our marriage license stamped, I headed to the mall just to, you know, window shop.. AND… I stumbled upon the macaroon shop, Kseni Mademoiselle, and they had the honey cake that is my favorite since the childhood times!! And it tasted exactly the same! Mmm so good!
I started a new book by Dostoyevsky– The Idiot. So far, it is so good! I love how Dostoyevsky writes– very detailed in his description of people… I pretty much had to read the whole book of his called Notes from Underground and was hooked… Russian literature is amazing.
Ahh good day!
