CONCEPT STATEMENT
CONCEPT: Translucent
CONCEPT STATEMENT: Allows some light to pass through but not all details are visible.
DESIGN STATEMENT
In the office design, translucency will be utilized in the open-desk policy with seating positions to give some privacy in work as well as lockable individual file cabinets.
Meeting rooms, staff lounge, and other spaces that do not require complete visual privacy (restrooms, service room, etc.) will also allow light to pass through, revealing to the others the purpose of the space.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
FORM– the open space of the first floor will be utilized to place an office space that will promote creativity through teamwork.
FUNCTION– the spaces will include open concept workstations to stimulate active brainstorming of ideas between all teams and will include group meeting rooms for more private negotiations.
ECONOMY– the open concept workstations that will take up most of the space, will be flexible to accommodate future tenants and other spaces will meet the requirements of sustainability and durability.
TIME– the open plan will allow for future growth as well as adaptation to future changes.
